What got you riding MTB?
My mom brought me to a MTB competition (XC) in Bromont, QC, when I was around 12 years old. I was amazed that you could actually ride in the mountain and that there were trails and bikes made for that. But what really caught my attention, was when 2 'kamikaze' downhillers just blazed trough the lines of the XC course illegally. ''Now this is what I want to do on my bike!'' I said to myself. The next summer I was mowing lawns in my neighborhood to try and get some money to get a bike that would not break all the time. I failed. Next one I got a job at Dairy Queen and after 2-3 months of work I finally got myself my first 'real' MTB I could afford. It ended up being a XC bike...haha. I rode it for an entire summer and never stopped riding MTB's since then and that was 9 years ago!

What inspires you to ride?
Mainly, the smile I get on my face when I ride my bike. Just all the fun and experiences from riding a simple bicycle is inspiring enough for me. You can ride whatever you want, whenever you want, wherever you want. Biking is just total freedom for me.

Anything you would change in the MTB industry?
The rights and wrongs people give to riding. For example; riding the 'wrong' foot foward/riding goofy. There are no rights and wrongs, you just ride the way it feels best for you, thats it. Same goes with the beef between street MTB and BMX. We are all doing it for the same reason anyways and it is to have fun on a bicycle!

Any other interests besides riding?
Hanging out with my friends, drinking beer and definitely travelling. My life pretty much revolves around two wheels. Although, architecture & design are also things I have a lots of interest for; it is not only my job, but its also something you always appreciate when you are riding street. Where do you see yourself in 5 years? I have no idea, I have so many possibilities in my mind right now. One thing is for sure, I will be riding bikes & travelling!

Style for miles or tricks for the win?
Style for miles man, what kind of question is that!? Favortie alcoholic beverage? Beer, red wine and more beer. PBR for party's, wine at supper time, and a good beer from a microbrewery once in a while.

Favorite non-alcoholic beverage?
Oasis banana/orange juice:) Top 3 riders? Adam Hauck for all that he's done for street MTB, Mike Aitken for all that effortless style and rad attitude & Brendan Fairclough for pretty much the same reasons as Mike Aitken but for downhill racing.

Top 3 music bands?
The Cat Empire, Jean Leloup, Notorious BIG, Electralane, Explosions in the Sky, oh wait was that 5?

Top 3 movies?
Borat, Into the Wild, C.R.A.Z.Y.

Shout outs?
Big thanks goes to Justin & Benoit @ LamaCycles for believing in me as a rider but more importantly now as a the team manager. Big thanks also goes out to my friends for being such awesome people (you know who you are!). Thanks to you for reading this interview and thanks to all LamaCycles supporters out there!

Here's the link to the Facebook event of our first stop @ ZM Cycle & Fitness in Toronto, Ontario.

Shipshaw Dam Roadtrip Video!

Remember the photo of Stéphane Bélanger riding in a huge dam that made POD!? And that video to back it up!? Well Stéphane decided to bring the whole crew down to pay that dam a visit! That's right, Sam Croteau, Parappa, Louis Lhomel, Stéphane & a couple of good friends made the trip to this absolutely unique location!

This time however, Louis brought his camera and the team's GoPro HD2 to make sure we capture every moment of this epic adventure!

Thanks to our really good friends Mickey & Johnny for being so sick and inviting us over to party and crash at their place everytime we head out in the Saguenay area! This was definitely one hell of a roadtrip!
