Its been a long winter here in Kelowna but the snow is finally starting to melt and its one of my favorite times to pull out the big bike and get some Dh laps in. Unfortunately most of the trails in kelowna are still pretty snowy but about 2 hours away just outside of kamloops is a gem of a little town called Savonna. It was my first time riding there and I'll definately be going back!
The trails we were riding had a mix of all conditions that really kept you on your toes. At the top you got a bit of snow and ice, a little further down you'd find yourself drifting through a slip and slide of greasy, muddy singletrack. Lastly you'd round a corner and be riding dry and dusty typical kamloops style terrain and flying down the winding single track. It was awesome riding in the diverse conditions and really helped me get back into the swing of things and regain confidence on my bike. Matt was there to get an action shot which turned out awesome as always. I can't wait to go back and spend some more time riding and shooting this trail, it definately has the potential to make for an awesome trail segment and its one of those flowy singletracks that you could ride over and over all day and never grow tired of it.
